Your Kids Can Now Be Toy Testers & Experience The Fisher-Price™ Play Lab For The First Time In Malaysia

As the first kid-led testing facility in the industry, the Fisher-Price™ Play Lab has always been at the forefront of toy development. Early Childhood Development Experts observe children ages new-born to eight-years-old to help create, evaluate and improve upon more than 450 toy ideas annually. The team is on the cutting edge of purposeful play, toys, media, and parenting trends. This team works in lockstep with designers, engineers, musicians, content producers and more to evaluate every detail of every toy.

“The Play Lab is at the heart of Fisher-Price™ because it’s where the magic starts and where we glean insights directly from kids to make sure our toys and products create the best play possible,” says Lisa Lohiser, Ed.D., Manager of early childhood development research at Fisher-Price™. “As we believe that no detail is too small when it comes to play, the role of the Play Lab is to create a fun and enriching experience for families around the world through play.”

Now, Malaysians can have the opportunity to get their kids to be toy testers and experience the Fisher-Price™ Play Lab for the first time through a series of experiential roadshows from August to September ’22.

“We are excited to let kids be kids and become our tiny toy testers at the Fisher-Price™ Play Lab roadshows! Both parents and kids can experience and learn how Fisher-Price™ toys aid with Early Childhood Development through play,” said Murat Ariksoy, General Manager, Mattel South Asia. “Fisher-Price™ aims to create the best play experience for kids to learn, grow, and connect with the world around them.

“There is no one right way to play,” said Dr. Charlotte Jane Joseph, Developmental Paediatrician, Hospital Tunku Azizah. “Children benefit most from exposure to a wide spectrum of play options that allow them to develop cognitive skills, physical abilities, and social skills. When choosing toys, parents can look toward choosing those that are safe and created with the development of kids in mind.”

“Play is so much more than an activity to pass the time. It is a wonderful vehicle for hands-on learning and even more so, an incredible opportunity for parents to bond with their children,” said Dr Woo Pei Jun, Head of Department of Psychology, Sunway University. “While guided play has its place, it is equally important for parents to allow their children the autonomy to lead play sessions too.”

The Fisher-Price™ Play Lab experiential roadshow will officially launch in Malaysia at the Orange Concourse, LG2, Sunway Pyramid from 8th – 14th August 2022. It invites parents and kids to enjoy a behind-the-scenes look (and feel!) of what happens at the Fisher-Price™ Play Lab. Kids aged 0-5 years old can come over and become official toy testers for the day.

To manage the crowd and to keep toy testers safe, parents are required to register their children for their desired time slot at various Play Pods via tablet on-ground, or via this registration link. Families can also look forward to special promotions, mascot appearances as well as games and activities that will take place over the weekends. The roadshow will also be disinfected regularly to ensure the cleanliness and safety of our patrons throughout.
