Yamaha Music Malaysia is thrilled to announce the launch of the New Primary Course this 1 October 2025, a unique music programme designed for children aged 3 to 5. Blending the joy of group activities with the focus of individual lessons, the course helps children grow musically, socially, and confidently — all while having fun.
The New Primary Course is a renewal of Yamaha’s long-trusted Junior Music Course (for ages 4–5) and Music Wonderland (for age 3), designed with fresh content and methods to give children the best possible start in music.
Music + Smart Tech = Engaged Learning
With Yamaha’s exclusive Learning Management System (LMS), lessons don’t stop when class ends. The LMS supports the learning process by providing:
- Animated practice videos that let children review lessons just like in class.
- Audio materials for listening and singing practice at home.
- Interactive music games that make rhythm and ear training fun.
- Easy digital access for parents to follow progress and encourage daily practice.
This combination of classroom learning and digital tools keeps kids excited, motivated, and supported throughout their musical journey.

For children aged 4 and older, we highly recommend enhancing their group experience with personalised individual lessons. Flexibility is key: while one individual session weekly is recommended, families can tailor their child’s journey with up to three sessions per month.
The New Primary Course is just the beginning. After age 5, children can continue their journey through Yamaha’s step-by-step programmes in piano, Electone, and more — ensuring their love for music grows with them.
