For generations, Godzilla has been more than a movie monster. It has been a shared language between parents and children, nostalgia and discovery, imagination and play. With the opening of GODZILLA STORE Malaysia, that legacy now has a permanent home in Kuala Lumpur, one that invites families to step inside the world of Godzilla together. In recognition of this milestone, Parenthood Records has officially awarded the store as “Malaysia’s First Interactive Godzilla Experience Retail Store”, celebrating an experience designed to bring generations closer through fandom and storytelling.
The recognition took place in conjunction with the store’s official opening at LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre, marking the arrival of the iconic Japanese franchise in a fully immersive retail format designed for fans, young, old, and everyone in between. An initiative under Parenthood Media, Parenthood Records, this record reflects a growing shift towards spaces that invite families to explore, interact, and discover together rather than simply shop.
An Immersive Retail Experience Designed for Families
Recognised for going beyond conventional retail, GODZILLA STORE Malaysia is designed as a fully immersive destination rather than a typical merchandise store. The space features themed interiors, neon accents, curated photo spots, and a wide range of officially licensed Godzilla merchandise, creating an environment that invites fans to explore at their own pace.
“This is about creating moments, not just transactions,” said Teresa Chin, Founder of Parenthood Records, who presented the record to GODZILLA STORE Malaysia during the opening event.
Anchoring the experience is a striking two-metre-tall Godzilla statue at the store entrance, created exclusively for this location. The design first appeared in the 70th Anniversary commemorative video, “70 Years of Godzilla: A New Roar in Southeast Asia,” produced by Igloo Studios and released in May 2025. Making its first physical appearance worldwide, the statue sets the tone for an immersive visit from the moment fans step inside.
Why Godzilla Matters to Families Too
Operated by M&M Creations Holdings in collaboration with TOHO Co., Ltd. and Toho Entertainment Asia, GODZILLA STORE Malaysia is the second overseas Godzilla Store after Taipei, marking the brand’s growing presence in Southeast Asia.
More than a retail milestone, its opening brings a global pop culture icon closer to Malaysian families through exclusive collectables, officially licensed merchandise, and an immersive environment that blends storytelling, imagination, and hands-on engagement.
By awarding this recognition, Parenthood Records shines a light on how well-designed spaces can bridge pop culture and family connection. GODZILLA STORE Malaysia creates shared moments where parents revisit their nostalgia, children discover wonder, and fans across generations find common ground.
Now standing as a benchmark for themed retail experiences in Malaysia and the region, the store has quickly become a must-visit destination for families and tourists alike. Because sometimes, the best family memories really do happen somewhere between a giant monster statue and a whole lot of imagination.

Walk in, snap a photo with the towering Godzilla statue, explore exclusive merchandise, and experience why this store earned its place in Parenthood Records.
