Kiddocare – Malaysia’s first and preferred on-demand babysitting platform, is looking to holistically elevate the babysitting market addressing both the supply of qualified and vetted babysitters as well as the demand for babysitting services from parents.
Looking to bolster the number of babysitters available in the market, Kiddocare has become a recognised strategic partner of the Ministry of Finance-led Short-term Employment Programme (MySTEP).
The MySTEP Kiddocare Professional Babysitter Program will look to empower Malaysians to obtain the necessary training and secure short-term employment opportunities. Through this avenue, Kiddocare hopes to provide 20-30 years old young Malaysian women who have not been employed for the last one month, with a new livelihood and source of income by working as babysitters. As a carer under the programme, they will earn RM 2,000 per month along with EPF, SOCSO & insurance.
Commenting on the initiative, the Founder of Kiddocare, Nadira Yusoff said “We wanted to empower our Malaysian women by not only providing professional job opportunities but one that allows employees to balance their work and personal lives whilst earning a good salary. The inclusion of Kiddocare in the MySTEP programme allows us to do just that. By doing so we hope to bolster the supply of qualified and quality babysitters in the market that parents can trust and depend upon.”

The Kiddocare App: Creating Demand by Increasing Accessibility
With Malaysia now in the endemic phase, parents across the country have headed back to work full-time or starting to venture back into their active social lives, this means an increased need for reliable and trustworthy childcare services. Looking to drive demand further by increasing accessibility to quality babysitting services, Kiddocare has recently launched its mobile App.

The app allows users easier and quicker access to Kiddocare’s suite of childcare services. Through the app, parents will be able to find, connect, chat, book and pay for services at a touch of a button – bringing a hassle-free on-demand experience. Profiles will be filtered and surfaced instantaneously and parents will be able to interact digitally with the potential carers getting fast responses that will enable them to make a decision and confirm a booking quickly.
“The past two years have certainly been a challenge for many parents – working from home, juggling career responsibilities and the responsibility of taking care of a family. But now with many backs at work, parents are in for a new challenge – finding the right care for their children. This is where Kiddocare comes in and this is why, I believe, our new App is so perfectly timed,” said Muhaini Mahmud, the Co-Founder of Kiddocare.
Through the Kiddocare App, parents can arrange for babysitting services anytime, anywhere whether it be ad-hoc, short-term or long-term, at home, in the office or at a hotel. Parents can also tailor their searches to meet their specific requirements including languages and other special skills/experiences. The platform connects parents with trained and vetted Malaysian babysitters, ensuring the required levels of trust and security that will allow parents to comfortably and confidently entrust the care of their child to the babysitters.
The App features all of Kiddocare’s current range of services including on-demand babysitters, long-term babysitters, travel nannies, family counsellors, children’s therapists and reading tutors amongst others. Parents can also get updates and monitor the service through the app. They can also easily seek help or chat with the Kiddocare admin team through the app for more detailed information and personalised requests.
First launched in 2018, the Kiddocare platform already features over 4000 carer profiles and has to date helped 8000 parents find the right babysitter for their children. The platform also features a pop-up nanny service, corporate childcare packages, Kiddocare babysitting course, parental workshops, CPR & first aid courses as well as the Kiddocare shop where parents can purchase a variety of childcare and enrichment products including books, DIY kits, learning kits and more.
