A new chapter is on the horizon for Negeri Sembilan’s healthcare scene, as Columbia Asia Hospital – Seremban sets its sights sky-high with the launch of a bold expansion. What began in 1999 as a modest private hospital is now gearing up for a game-changing transformation, a 13-storey, state-of-the-art facility redefining how care is delivered in the region.
To mark this major milestone, an official groundbreaking event was held in recently, bringing together state leaders and healthcare stakeholders to usher in this next phase of growth.

The upcoming 13-storey facility, spanning approximately 68,000 square meters, will integrate the hospital’s current North and South wings into a single, future-ready structure. This purpose-built expansion will boost capacity from 114 beds and 32 clinics to 347 beds and 100 clinics, supported by over 650 parking bays for the convenience of patients and visitors, enhancing access to quality care for Negeri Sembilan’s 1.2 million-strong community.
A key highlight of the development is the introduction of an Oncology Centre, which will offer both Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy services under one roof. The hospital will also house a Dialysis Centre and be equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging capabilities, including PET-CT, to enhance precision in cancer detection and treatment planning.
Since its establishment, Columbia Asia Hospital Seremban has played a pivotal role in meeting the healthcare needs of Negeri Sembilan’s growing population. Over the past 25 years, the hospital has grown from a single building to a dual-wing facility with 114 beds and 60 consultants. The new development represents a transformative leap in scale, capability, and patient experience.
The construction of the new hospital building is expected to be completed by 2028, with full operations commencing in 2029.
