More than one year into the pandemic, health and nutrition – two of our most basic needs – take on even more importance. Fueled by its vision “Health For All, Hunger For None”, Bayer is collaborating with government agencies, health authorities and other organizations around the world in the fight against COVID-19 with a variety of efforts such as donations, products and expertise in the areas of health and nutrition.
In an effort to encourage Malaysians to get vaccinated, Bayer Co. (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is collaborating with the Special Committee On COVID-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV) as a supporting partner to help drive awareness, education and advocacy to boost vaccine acceptance among Malaysians. This is done via social media postings and various on-ground activation such as education via pharmacists in collaboration with Alpro Pharmacy, in-store display and distribution of 600,000 Redoxon care kits at selected vaccination centres.
“We really appreciate Bayer Malaysia and Redoxon’s strategic collaboration with JKJAV in supporting the National Covid-19 Immunisation Program. In challenging times like these, we welcome involvement of corporate partners such as Bayer and Redoxon to help the program achieves its targeted goals,” said Abdul Wahab Hashim, Coordinator, PPV Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
“Ensuring that Malaysians go for their vaccination jabs is very critical for the country to get back to normalcy. Unless we bend together, we will not be able to fight this pandemic. We are grateful that many strategic partners, like Bayer Malaysia and Redoxon, have been great supporters in the vaccination program,” added Puan Enni Shalina, Venue Manager, AXIATA Arena.
Bayer firmly supports the goal of high immunization rate in Malaysia and around the world as the most effective path to contain COVID-19. Yet, there is still a lot of misinformation floating around about vaccines. In supporting the government’s efforts to get Malaysians to sign up for vaccination, Bayer has launched its community outreach program to engage the public in different and substantive ways to help drive education and debunk misconceptions about COVID-19 vaccines.

“We would like to thank JKJAV for giving Bayer the opportunity to play our part in supporting the government’s vaccination efforts to safeguard the health of Malaysians and accelerate the country’s economic recovery. As a responsible employer, we have been driving pro-vaccination efforts to encourage our employees to be vaccinated by providing education and vaccine information support. Beyond our organization, we believe our brand like Redoxon can play a meaningful role in the COVID-19 National Immunisation Program, delivering on a greater purpose to support our front liners and communities when they need us most,” says Leong Sook Fun, Managing Director of Bayer Co. (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd.
Yuliana Biantoro, Marketing Manager of Redoxon, Malaysia & Singapore, adds “We are very delighted to be supporting vaccination efforts by our government. Our collective aim is to rally Malaysians to fight COVID-19 and keep their immunity strong by signing up for vaccine registration and reminding the public to keep maintaining their immunity after vaccination. We hope our efforts will help to educate the general public about the importance of COVID-19 vaccination, understand the importance of ensuring that they maintain the strength of their immune system and support them in their efforts.”
Vaccines alone do not combat pandemic, the act of vaccinating does. We are all in this together in our fight against COVID-19 #LindungDiriLindungSemua
