If you’ve spent your pregnancy staring at your beautifully prepped nursery and wondering if you’re actually ready for the 3:00 AM reality check (the kind where you’re deciphering the difference between a hunger cry and a plea for a nappy change), you’re in good company. That mix of excitement and “first-time” nerves is exactly why we gathered for our final Antenatal BootCamp (ABC) of 2025.
Parenthood’s Antenatal BootCamp was designed to help expectant parents move past the “I can’t do this” fear and replace it with practical confidence, knowing that when those midnight cries begin, they’ll be ready.
Expert-Led Sessions That Turn Uncertainty into Confidence
We were joined by a dedicated team of doctors and nurses from Sunway Medical Centre who helped simplify the complexities of newborn care into practical, manageable steps. Parents were guided through a Childbirth Guide to replace “fear of the unknown” with a calm plan for the labour room, followed by heart-to-heart sessions on Successful Breastfeeding and “nurses’ secrets” for stress-free baby bathing.
The focus then shifted to immediate life-saving action with a high-impact session on First Aid Skills, where parents gained hands-on confidence to handle emergencies such as choking or household accidents. To round out the medical advice, parents also received a forward-looking perspective on how to raise a “Screen Smart” kid to manage technology healthily from day one.
Safety and security remained top of mind as we explored long-term protection and practical support for the whole family. Families learned about the wonders of the umbilical cord and stem cell banking with Cryocord, alongside sessions on establishing a financial safety net with Prudential. Complementing these protective measures, Spectra took the stage to share practical breastfeeding tips and real-world hacks for new moms. To add a bit of fun to the day’s learning, the Earth & Me Quiz & Demo saw contestants hilariously testing diaper durability on stage for a chance to win prizes.
More Than Learning: Prizes, Booths, and Parent Perks
Our ABC will never be complete without the Lucky Draw session, and this remains a major reason why expectant parents choose ABC year after year. A few lucky soon-to-be moms and dads got to walk away with amazing goodies from MiYouth, Momama, Bloom & Grow, Korora, Lunavie, and Nootkaherb. The highlight? A Spectra Dual Compact Breast Pump worth RM 1599, and a JOIE Every Stage Brown car seat worth RM 1200, which definitely drove the crowd buzzing in excitement.
Beyond the main stage, these brands also hosted vibrant booths throughout the day, which were constantly flooded by participants eager to get hands-on with the latest baby products before the big arrival.
Cryocord
At their booth, the Cryocord team engaged in deep-dive consultations with parents, walking them through the collection process and answering technical questions about stem cells to help families make informed decisions about their child’s long-term health. They also sponsored informative resources and essential items in the goodie bags for participants.
Bloom & Grow
This time around, Bloom & Grow showcased the Bheue range, a premium skincare line specifically formulated for the needs of expectant and new mothers. The team spent the day offering personalised consultations, explaining the science behind the products and helping visitors understand how to choose the right skincare for their pregnancy journey.
Milk Safe
A popular stop for moms-to-be, this booth featured their specialised breastfeeding spray that acts as a milk booster and a range of postpartum care solutions. To help parents prepare, they offered an exclusive prenatal combo sale that included their signature spray, hair loss oil, and a scalp massager, providing a practical toolkit for the physical transitions of motherhood.
Momama
Momama turned their station into a high-tech nursery demo zone, featuring hands-on displays of their sterilisers, baby food makers, milk warmers, and nappy bins. Their team gave live demonstrations on how these gadgets simplify daily chores, and they also sponsored essential nursery items for the goodie bags to ensure everyone went home with a head start.
Korora
The Korora team engaged parents with the story behind their specialised oils, explaining the unique ingredients that make their formulas stand out. Beyond the booth discussions, they ensured parents could see real results by sponsoring generous three-week samples for the event goodie bags and contributing premium sets to the lucky draw.
Nootkaherb
Introducing a touch of international innovation, this Taiwanese brand showcased its newborn-safe Diaper Barrier Spray. At the booth, the team demonstrated how this spray-on alternative to traditional creams offers a more hygienic and convenient experience for parents.
A major highlight of the day was when Nootkaherb was officially awarded the record for “First Nappy Protection Spray for Babies in Malaysia” by Parenthood Records during the event. To ensure every parent could experience this award-winning product, a sample was included in every goodie bag to test the revolutionary formula at home.
As our final Antenatal Bootcamp of 2025 wrapped up, one message stood out clearly: parenthood is not about perfection, but preparation and support. With expert guidance, practical learning, and a strong sense of community, ABC continues to help parents step into this new chapter with confidence.
