Pictures and Legendary Pictures and starring Jason Momoa and Jack Black, “A Minecraft Movie,” directed by Jared Hess, is the first-ever big-screen, live-action adaptation of Minecraft, the best-selling video game of all time. The film also stars Emma Myers (Wednesday), Oscar nominee Danielle Brooks (The Color Purple), Sebastian Hansen (Just Mercy, Lisey’s Story), with Jennifer Coolidge.
Step into the blocky, limitless world of Minecraft, where creativity isn’t just a tool—it’s the key to survival! In this action-packed, live-action adventure, four unlikely heroes—Garrett “The Garbage Man” Garrison (Jason Momoa), Henry (Sebastian Hansen), Natalie (Emma Myers), and Dawn (Danielle Brooks)—find themselves dealing with everyday struggles when their reality takes an unexpected turn.
Suddenly transported through a mysterious portal into the Overworld, they land in a bizarre yet mesmerising landscape built entirely of cubes, teeming with dangers, secrets, and endless possibilities. With no way back, they must navigate this strange new world, learning to mine, craft, and build their way to survival—all while battling fearsome foes like Piglins, Zombies, and other sinister threats.
Alongside them is Steve (Jack Black), a legendary crafter, who guides them through an epic quest that will test their courage, teamwork, and imagination.
