I had the opportunity to enjoy the yummylicious Ramadhan buffet recently with my family. Oh my, you will be spoilt with choices of your favourite local flavoured menus such as nasi ayam, nasi lemak, a variety of rendangs, satays, kuih-muih, sweet desserts, and ice creams that are definitely on the list to try out.
My favourite was absolutely the kuih onde-onde – a sweet glutinous rice cake balls filled with gula melaka and coated in grated coconut. This sweet onde-onde has always been one of my favourites since childhood and the gula melaka filling in it was literally bursting in my mouth when I took a bite. Simply yums, just the way I remembered eating them in my hometown during my childhood years.
As for my kids, needless to say, they did enjoy the food as well as all the games available for them to explore after their makan.
This HYdeout is highly recommended for families with young children as parents can enjoy their food and companionships while knowing that their children are safe having fun playing a variety of games at the play zones.
The HYdeout team was all out to entertain the kids tirelessly with all kinds of fun games. But the highlight of the night was when the children were surprised with a special appearance from Upin & Ipin themselves! Psst, actually mummies and daddies pun excited enjoying themselves singing and dancing along with Upin & Ipin.
The spirit of Raya was all around us throughout the time we were there with some festive Raya songs playing in the background – memang meriahlah. Truly felt the festive spirit right in the heart of the city!
