This upcoming weekend, Gamuda Land welcomes you to the Wetlands Wonderfest carnival! Following the recent tripartite signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between Gamuda Land, the Federal Government, and the Selangor State Government, Gamuda Land is now responsible for operating the attractions within Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands. To commemorate this milestone, Gamuda Land has introduced a new lineup of outdoor experiences for young families and nature enthusiasts to immerse themselves in the vibrant serenity of nature at its biodiversity sanctuary, Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands.
Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands located at Gamuda Cove is dubbed the Nature Park in the developer’s placemaking. Positioned as an ecotourism hub in the Southern Klang Valley, the wetlands offer 1,111 acres of breathtaking views and diverse wildlife. Opened to the public in January 2020, this wetlands is home to 14 species of reptiles including crocodiles, 225 species of birds, and other mammals including hippopotamuses and horses.
Liong Ve Lyn, Senior General Manager (Leisure & Hospitality) of Gamuda Land shared, “Our vision is to bring accessibility to Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands. We aim to curate a relaxing space where visitors can unwind and rejuvenate, all while discovering the beauty and wonders of nature. By saying so, the newly added outdoor activities such as the Donut Boat Ride and the Shuttle Truck Ride for Boat Cruise from Tasik Rusiga are suitable for visitors from all walks of life.”
The Wetlands Wonderfest will run for two days from October 5th to 6th, with free entry for the public. Apart from the existing boat cruises, safari rides, animal feeding sessions, and horse riding experience, the play place will be enlivened with meet and greet sessions by the GL Play Squad, a GL Play Inflatable Land over the special weekend.

Visitors can also expect local vendors to gather at the pop-up bazaars from Jom Havoc Fest, Camp Cafe & Picnic by Dluca, and be greeted by elephants, hippos, ducks and tortoises stretching their necks during feeding time!
Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands Gallery is open for visitors to take a closer look at the biodiversity within the wetlands. The property developer is also working towards refurbishing it to introduce interactive and engaging elements. During the Wetlands Wonderfest, visitors who park at the public parking outside the Gallery can access free entrance from Gate 2 via the Dengkil exit, and Solar Express and shuttle services will transport visitors around the carnival.
Gamuda Cove is a haven of exciting and adventurous attractions comprising SplashMania Waterpark, Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands, Wetlands Arboretum Centre, and Discovery Park. It is the most preserved ecosystem in the Southern Klang Valley. Striving to live up to its Low Carbon City status, visitors can travel around the township on an e-tram that minimises carbon emissions or move around on foot and bike through shaded pedestrian walkways that stretch up to 70m.
Ve Lyn further shared, “We hope this expanded list of activities at Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands will further enhance Malaysians’ love for nature, and school children’s knowledge in conserving and protecting nature.” This eco-learning hub in Klang Valley with upgraded ecotourism activities and facilities is bound to be a natural environment for visitors to not only bond with their friends and families but also connect with nature.
