How To Choose A Paint That Would Give The Desired Results For Your Walls

AkzoNobel, a leading decorative paint and coatings company, recently announced the ‘Dulux Promise’ programme, assuring you will achieve the perfect colour, a uniformed finish and stated coverage; otherwise your paint products will be replaced.

AkzoNobel recognises that choosing a paint that would give the desired results for your walls is not an easy task. Sometimes, the paint applied on the wall might not match the colour as shown in the colour catalogue, while other times an inconsistent paint application will lead to uneven or unsatisfactory coverage and finish for the walls.

The Dulux Promise programme helps to address these consumer concerns, and promises that selected products in the Dulux Promise portfolio will offer the following when applied on a clean and complete dried wall and in accordance to the Dulux painting system:

  1. Perfect colour – The colour of the paint will match the colour as indicated on Dulux collaterals such as the fan decks and shade cards, but do note that colour disparity that occurs due to base material (colour may look different in certain materials or surfaces), shape, size and surface lighting are not covered under the programme.
  2. Uniformed finish – Paints purchased will have an even finish with no patchiness once it dries up completely on a well-prepared and clean surface.
  3. Coverage – The corresponding bucket of paint will yield the area coverage as stated in our product label and product data sheet; however, some colours may need more than two coats to achieve the desired opacity.

Through the new Dulux Promise programme, AkzoNobel aims to simplify the decision-making process and gives consumers assurance and peace-of-mind when selecting paint products for their walls.

David Teng, Commercial Director SEAP at AkzoNobel Decorative Paints said: “At AkzoNobel, we pride ourselves in constantly enhancing and innovating our products without compromising on our quality commitment. The Dulux Promise programme is a prime example of this; we are confident that our customers will feel assured and satisfied in choosing Dulux products when redecorating or revitalising their homes.”
