Airports are rarely a highlight for families. But at KL International Airport Terminal 1, that is changing. In conjunction with Visit Malaysia Year 2026, The LEGO Group, together with Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad, has launched Let’s Go Malaysia 2026, a bright, family-friendly installation that turns part of KLIA into a LEGO experience.
Running until 30 June 2026, the Mini Airport within An Airport concept is designed to make every traveller feel at home, offering a playful first impression of Malaysia’s warmth, creativity, and rich cultural tapestry.
The installation celebrates the landmarks and heritage that make this country uniquely Malaysian, while inviting international visitors to fall in love with Malaysia – one brick at a time. From local delicacies to iconic landmarks and multicultural unity, the campaign encourages everyone to be part of the journey and build Malaysia together in the most imaginative way.
Why Families Will Appreciate This
For parents travelling with children, this installation does something important: it gives kids a reason to slow down and engage. Instead of rushing from check-in to the gate, families can pause, explore, and talk about Malaysia’s landmarks and identity in a way children instantly understand.
It works just as well for Malaysians returning home as it does for international visitors arriving for the first time. The message is clear and simple. Welcome to Malaysia.
Travel-Friendly LEGO, Made for On-the-Go Play
With Valiram as the official retail partner, selected LEGO sets are also available at the airport. These include compact, travel-friendly builds that fit easily into hand luggage and are ideal for flights, hotel stays, or quiet downtime during trips.
For parents trying to reduce screen time while travelling, this is a practical and thoughtful option.
