Nine years in, the Parents’ Choice Awards continues to celebrate the people, brands and organisations that make parenting a little easier, childhood a little brighter and family life that much better.
Returning for its ninth edition, the Parents’ Choice Awards (PCA) 2026 once again brought together some of Malaysia’s most trusted names in parenting, healthcare, education and family services for an evening of celebration, connection and well-deserved recognition. Organised by Parenthood Media, the annual event honours those who continue to support families through thoughtful products, quality care and services that truly make a difference.
This year’s celebration welcomed guests from across Malaysia, from Perak to Sabah and Sarawak, alongside international delegates from Singapore and Shenzhen, China. Together, they celebrated a shared mission: helping families thrive, one child and one community at a time.
The Parents’ Choice Awards continue to serve as a trusted platform recognising excellence in products, services and organisations that support parents at every stage of their parenting journey. Combining nationwide parent voting with expert evaluation, the awards celebrate those making meaningful contributions to family life through innovation, quality, trust and inclusivity.
Recognising Brands Shaping Malaysian Families
The 2026 edition spanned 156 awards across 10 core categories that serve every stage of the parenting journey, covering Education; Enrichment; Babycare, Childcare & Essentials; Baby & Children’s Apparel, Footwear & Accessories; Family, Lifestyle, Home & Leisure; Feeding & Nutrition; Health & Safety; Mummy Care, Essentials & Services; Parenting & Wellness; and Toys, Learning & Play.
Beyond the individual category winners, the event showcased two prestigious accolade tiers celebrating industry leadership and sustained excellence:
- SuperBrand Awards: Created to honour companies that have demonstrated exceptional consistency, innovation, and impact across multiple parenting-related categories, this year’s honours were awarded to trusted household names Applecrumby and Cambridge English for Life.
- Legend Awards: A prestigious honour reserved exclusively for brands that have earned parents’ trust by winning for five consecutive years. In celebration of their unwavering commitment to quality, legendary recipients included beloved market staples such as Hegen, Prudential, LEGO, Cryocord, Bio-Oil, Babyshop, and many more.
Uniting an Ecosystem of Care
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms Teresa Chin, Managing Director of Parenthood Media and Founder of Parents’ Choice Awards, highlighted the importance of recognising the many individuals and organisations that support families through every stage of a child’s development. While parenting continues to evolve alongside rapid technological advancement, she noted that the human connection at its heart remains irreplaceable.
“We are parenting in an era where AI moves faster than ever. But let us never forget: no algorithm can replace a mother’s intuition, a teacher’s patience, or a doctor’s compassion.” – Ms Teresa Chin, Managing Director of Parenthood Media and Founder of Parents’ Choice Awards

The 2026 cohort of awardees reflected this broad ecosystem of care, comprising 50 educators and coaches, 30 baby and child care brands, 20 nutrition leaders, 20 education centres, 10 medical professionals and 10 breastfeeding support advocates. Together, they represent the diverse sectors working collaboratively to nurture healthier families and help shape Malaysia’s future, one child at a time.
Championing Inclusion for Every Child
A key highlight of this year’s Parents’ Choice Awards was its continued emphasis on neurodiversity and inclusion, recognising organisations that are making learning, recreation and essential services more accessible to children with special needs and their families.
Among those honoured were inclusive music, swimming and hippotherapy schools, alongside specialised learning centres supporting neurodivergent children. Mainstream organisations were also recognised for creating more inclusive family experiences, including Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC), whose sensory-friendly movie screenings help ensure that every child can enjoy the magic of cinema in a welcoming environment.
Ms Teresa emphasised that inclusion should not be viewed as a standalone initiative, but as a shared commitment across industries to create opportunities where every child feels supported, valued and empowered to thrive.
Empowering Voices and Building Nationhood
The event also featured a special presentation to Bella Astilah, who received the Most Iconic Woman Personality of the Year Award in recognition of her resilience, courage and authentic grace. Parenthood Media acknowledged her journey and the positive influence she continues to have through her strength, perseverance and compassion, inspiring Malaysians across generations.
Beyond celebrating excellence, the Parents’ Choice Awards continues to strengthen connections between families and trusted brands while encouraging higher standards across industries that serve parents and children. The platform also shines a spotlight on organisations and individuals whose work often takes place behind the scenes, yet leaves a lasting impact on children’s development and family well-being.
The award recipients represent far more than successful brands, products or services. Through their dedication to education, healthcare, nutrition, therapy and child development, they are helping build stronger families and contributing to Malaysia’s future.
