Looking for a Unique Brunch Spot this Weekend? Check Out “TIKI-LICIOUS SUNDAY BRUNCH”!

Previously, going for a dine-in buffet experience means walking around aisles and aisles of food that cater a wide spread of all types of food for a set price, betul-tak?  But, things are not the same under the RMCO or post COVID-19!

Operating in the ”new norm” with the implementation of best practices and policies, The Resort Café at Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa is back with a brand new dining experience specially catered for families and friends with the assurance of peace of mind to diners and guests.

I had the opportunity to experience it first hand with my family over the weekend. We were asked to scan in using the SELangkah app and all tables and chairs were arranged according to the government’s SOPs on social distancing guidelines.

The Resort Café was transformed into a Lūʻau-inspired set-up where the staff was dressed in Hawaiian and Mexican outfits with Island Music playing in the background throughout the brunch offering.

At the entrance of the restaurant, 2 giant Tiki mask statues and a beach lounger with a sun umbrella awaits, making it the perfect spot for a family photo.

The Sunday brunch buffet dining experience entails a personalised service with dedicated service attendants serving each diner directly at their table. Each table has a menu from which you can order from. So depending on what you like, you can choose from a wide array of selection of local or international dishes.

For a more fulfilling buffet experience, The Resort Café at Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa also hosts 12 Live Action Stations located in the restaurant’s open-exhibition kitchen where a la minute cooking is done upon each order. Diners are allowed to view the stations, place their orders with the service attendant and then have it delivered to their table.

There is also a Cheese Wheel pushed around the cafe for those who would like to have some Caesar Salad for starters. A choice of Chinese Double-boiled soup or Western Soup of the day was also offered as starters if salad is not really your thing.

dance

There are also exciting and interesting activities lined up for kids above 6 years which includes cupcake decoration, and Lūʻau dancing that incurs no extra charges.  When the children are done with their food, they are invited to do the activities and of course, ONLY if you allow them to join.

At the end of the meal, cashless payments are excepted for a complete contactless dining experience.

All in all, it was a worthy and unique experience indeed. Enjoying your buffet meal without leaving your table, how cool is that? Furthermore, this method will also reduce unnecessary food waste as you’ve given a small portion of everything – to which I think it’s always good as you tend to not overeat as well.

As for my kids, the fun activities that were lined up after our meal was truly an enjoyable one. It kept them occupied while adults can continue to enjoy chatting or chilling with friends and family.

So if you’re like me, looking for a safe, hygienic, and fun place to dine in – make your reservations today and you won’t be disappointed!
