HYdeout has made its name as Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur’s first family-friendly themed dining and fun learning experience since its successful debut in December 2020. Following the curtain call of HYdeout’s current theme, ‘Dinotopia’, the hotel is pleased to unveil its all-new exclusive theme come April 09, 2022 featuring Malaysia’s most beloved award-winning animation series—Upin & Ipin.

HYdeout has thrived since the time it featured classic themes that resonated well with the young like
‘Spookyville’ and ‘Dinotopia’—all thanks to its imaginative partner, La Memoria, the esteemed event
management company behind the ideation of HYdeout’s phenomenal themed décor. “In order for us to
continuously keep the momentum in check, exciting ideas would be a necessity for us to uphold HYdeout’s objective that greatly highlights on family fun. We reckon that the significance of ‘Kampung In The City’ theme will make a favourable impression on both local and international guests, as it does on us. We are honoured to work with Les’ Copaque Production, Malaysia’s pioneer animation production company, also the creators of Upin & Ipin, to have this vision set sail into what we believe will entail a grand sense of connection for families to circle back to what ‘kampung’ adventures are all about,” Olivier Lenoir, General Manager of Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, expresses.

The phenomenal success of the eponymous characters in showcasing serial adventures that reverberate with most Malaysians is a testament to the heights that a homegrown name could soar to. The all-new ‘Kampung In The City’ theme at HYdeout celebrates the essence of Upin & Ipin through all that the themed sanctuary has to offer—from a scrumptious all-you-can-eat buffet to stimulating entertainment like messy play, traditional games, ‘wau’ painting, reading corner, carnival booths, 3D walls, movie screening, and more. The children may even be surprised with a special appearance from Upin & Ipin themselves!
