In an effort to educate pre-school children on the importance of wellness and staying healthy, Nippon Paint Malaysia in collaboration with Parenthood, once again initiated the Nippon Paint ‘Wellness at School’ Campaign for the second year running to empower preschoolers and their parents on staying safe, particularly when we’re all staying indoors most of the time these days.

 

“We want to empower all parents to give their children clean air to breathe, safe indoor environment and freedom to be creative through every stage of their development, from infanthood, toddlerhood to childhood. For instance, if kids take the steps of washing their hands properly as a practice at young age, they will continue doing this as they grew older,” says Datin Wong Meng Lee, Assistant General Manager, Marketing, Nippon Paint Malaysia

 

The 2020 Inter-School Wellness Colouring Contest saw a total of 8,842 students aged between 3-6 years old from 103 pre-schools nationwide. The contest was divided into 2 categories:

• Category 1: Colouring contest for 3 & 4 year olds
• Category 2: Drawing + colouring contest for 5 & 6 year olds

 

Each student was given a Ray Saves The Day storybook and Wellness Mask to inspire and educate them to be a superhero that takes charge of their own health and wellness at home and in school. Nippon Paint believes that creativity is an important part of children’s wellness – and that it comes through play, so a colouring and drawing contest was also included at the back of the story book to encourage creativity.

What were the prizes for each category?

Prizes were given to the top 13 for each category, which include a Toys “R” Us voucher, Nippon Paint Voucher, a Wellness Blobby and a superhero cape. Here’s a breakdown of the contest prizes:

1st Prize

RM500 Toys “R” Us + RM50 Nippon Paint voucher + Wellness Blobby + Superhero Cape

2nd Prize

RM300 Toys “R” Us + RM50 Nippon Paint voucher + Wellness Blobby 

3rd Prize
