Come and Join The wellness X dignity Launch This October – Aimed at Making Mental Health Services More Accessible and Affordable for All!

This October, Dignity for Children Foundation (Dignity) will introduce wellness X dignity, an initiative aimed at making mental health services more accessible and affordable for all individuals, regardless of their financial circumstances.

With many struggling to access basic mental health services, wellness X dignity stands as a beacon of hope, ensuring that no one is left behind due to financial constraints. The launch represents a step forward in addressing the pressing need for mental health care that is within reach for all.

“Our mission with wellness X dignity is clear: to make mental health care accessible to all, irrespective of their economic background,” said Petrina Satvinder Shee, CEO of Dignity. “We want to remove the barriers that prevent people from getting the help they need, reinforcing the idea that mental health is a right, not a luxury.”

A Crucial Step Forward

Dignity for Children Foundation, a well-established NGO known for its transformative impact on urban poor children through education, views the launch of wellness X dignity as a pivotal development in its ongoing mission.

“For the past 12 years, we have been providing quality mental health services to empower children and youth from diverse communities in our education programmes,” said Rebecca Lin, Head of Education of Dignity. “The launch of wellness X dignity represents our commitment to ensuring that everyone, within and beyond our education programmes, has access to the support they need.”

Empowering All Communities

The launch of wellness X dignity is designed to cater to a wide audience, including individuals and families from all walks of life who may face challenges accessing quality mental health services. The launch event will feature a range of workshops such as “The Power of Listening” and “Turning Conflict into Connection.” Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in activities like mental health screenings, career assessments, and expressive art sessions.

“The launch event is beyond raising awareness; it’s about providing tangible solutions to real problems,” said Elizabeth Gerard, wellness X dignity Lead of Dignity. “We want to ensure that every individual has the opportunity to thrive emotionally and mentally.”

Building a Network of Support

The event is expected to draw attendance from a broad spectrum of the community, including parents seeking support options for their children, local community organizations, social services, and educational partners. This diverse attendance underscores the collaborative effort required to address the complex emotional needs of the community.

Interested partners are encouraged to collaborate with wellness X dignity as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. By doing so, they can play an integral role in expanding the network of support available to all communities.
