What happens when little ones trade their usual playtime for a day as doctors? Think white coats, pretend patients and plenty of curious little minds discovering how to care for themselves and others. That was the idea behind LITTLE DR: Play, Learn, Heal!, an interactive doctor-for-a-day experience organised by Parenthood Media and ByeBye-FEVER, where children could explore everyday health and care through hands-on activities and imaginative play.
The first LITTLE DR event took place on Saturday, 10 October 2026, at MyToday, Atria Shopping Gallery, Petaling Jaya. The date also marked ByeBye-FEVER Day, adding another relevant touchpoint for families to learn about everyday fever care and cooling comfort.
Designed for children aged three to eight, the programme combined guided role play, practical activities and family participation in an environment that made health learning approachable and engaging.
Learning Through Play
A key part of LITTLE DR was helping children understand everyday health and care through experiences they could see, touch and take part in.
Dr Lai Yew Mai, Family Medicine Specialist at Sena Clinic, presented “Why Do We Get Fever?”, an age-appropriate session that gave children and parents an accessible introduction to what happens when someone feels unwell.
During the Diagnosis Session, children checked the temperature of baby doll patients and looked for clues to understand their condition, giving them a simple introduction to recognising when someone may be feeling unwell.
The Treatment Session introduced everyday comfort and protection products through hands-on role play. Children examined their parents and identified aches and pains, turning familiar health situations into an interactive experience.
The Treatment Session introduced children to ByeBye-FEVER products and other everyday family-care solutions through hands-on role play. Children also examined their parents and identified aches and pains, turning familiar health situations into an interactive experience.
During the Prescription Session, participants filled their special goodie bags with products featured throughout the programme, including ByeBye-FEVER cooling patches, ByeBye-BUG mosquito-repellent patches, Salonpas® Pain Patches and spray, together with OMFA Vitamin C.
Every participating child also received a certificate to mark the completion of their LITTLE DR experience.
Letting Children Learn Through Hands-On Play
LITTLE DR was built on the way children naturally learn through play. Guided activities gave them opportunities to ask questions, listen to their “patients”, notice simple symptoms and carry out age-appropriate tasks in a setting that felt fun and approachable.
Parents were also able to take part in the experience, opening up conversations about feeling unwell, caring for one another and becoming more familiar with everyday family care. Asking where it hurt, checking a doll’s temperature or helping a patient feel more comfortable offered children simple ways to practise attentiveness and care.
Through LITTLE DR, Parenthood Media and ByeBye-FEVER aim to give children a memorable first introduction to health and care through experiences that feel familiar, playful and meaningful.
Beyond the doctor role play, the programme creates an opportunity for families to learn together while encouraging curiosity, confidence and the small acts of care that begin with noticing how someone else feels.
