Find lion dances a bit too loud? Looking for something different to usher in the Year of the Water Rabbit?
Consider The Voices of Dignity choir that renders traditional and contemporary festive songs this Lunar New Year! A change from cymbals and drum, treat your guests and employees to a medley of Mandarin songs including “Tian Mi Mi”, “Flower Drum”, “Gong Xi Ni”, “Ta Fei Nian” and “Kan Ding”.
This 16-person choir is made up of youngsters from various ethnicities – orang asal, Indians and Chinese – who have been practising diligently for the Lunar New Year celebration.
Led by Petrina Satvinder, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Dignity for Children Foundation, the Voices for Dignity choir has previously performed at IKEA, KLCC, Tiffin By The Yard, The LINC to name a few and for other private events.
“These children are amazing given the fact that many started without being able to speak a word of English. Now they can sing in English and Mandarin! A great achievement indeed,” said Petrina.
