Taking centre-stage in the hotel’s lobby, this 12-foot confectionery marvel stands as a beacon of yuletide nostalgia, filling the air with the delightful aroma of warm gingerbread. Traverse its icing-laden entrance to enter a world of Christmas indulgence, as the walls are adorned with beloved Christmas cookies, gingerbread in various shapes, cakes, pies, eclairs, and more. Beyond the festivities, Sunway Resort Hotel seizes the opportunity to give back to the community, offering exclusive Christmas ornaments, priced at RM30 each with all proceeds dedicated to Praise Emmanuel’s Children Home, aiding abandoned and neglected children. Handsewn by artisans from marginalised communities using upcycled batik materials, their ornaments are in collaboration with Batik Boutique, a social enterprise created to disrupt the cycle of poverty in Malaysia. Alternatively, guests can contribute RM50, allowing them to add their decorative touch to Santa’s Bake Shop with coloured icing.
