Hock Kee Kopitiam has opened its second Heritage Concept outlet at The Gardens Mall, bringing a refreshed kopitiam experience to families, shoppers and diners in Kuala Lumpur.
Officially opened on 7 July 2026, the new Hock Kee Heritage outlet builds on the brand’s first Heritage Concept outlet at Medan Pasar, which debuted earlier this year. The concept celebrates Malaysia’s kopitiam culture through food, design and music, while offering diners a space that feels both nostalgic and modern.

A Heritage-Inspired Dining Space
Designed with inspiration from colonial-era Malaysia, Hock Kee Heritage features elegant arches, intricate latticework, Peranakan-inspired tiles, tropical greenery and courtyard-style elements.
The space takes cues from the grand social clubs of the past, which were once known as gathering places for the privileged. Through its Heritage Concept, Hock Kee reimagines this setting as a welcoming dining destination for everyone, from families and friends to local shoppers and visitors.
Nick Ng, founder of Hock Kee, shared that Hock Kee Heritage is meant to be more than just a place to dine.
“More than just a place to dine, Hock Kee Heritage is a destination where people can slow down and experience Malaysia’s heritage through its elegant surroundings, heritage-exclusive dishes, and welcoming atmosphere. We hope every visit feels like stepping into a timeless part of Malaysia’s story,” he said.

To complement the heritage-inspired setting, the outlet offers a specially curated menu available exclusively at Hock Kee Heritage outlets.
Among the featured dishes are Cheesy Jumbo River Prawn Bee Hoon, Herbal Chicken with Rice, and Heritage Fried Basmathi Rice with Chicken Satay.
The menu draws inspiration from familiar Malaysian recipes and local favourites, giving diners a chance to enjoy nostalgic flavours with Hock Kee’s contemporary approach. Each dish is prepared fresh to order using quality ingredients, reflecting the brand’s focus on preserving authentic local flavours while creating new dining experiences for today’s customers.
For families visiting The Gardens Mall, the outlet offers a convenient dining option that combines comfort food, heritage-inspired interiors and a casual setting suitable for all ages.
Celebrating Kopitiam Culture Through Music
The launch was also marked by a live performance from local pop group 1119 TRIPLE1NINE, who performed Hock Kee Kopitiam’s original theme song, “KOPITIAM You & Me”, for the first time.
The song, written and composed by Malaysian artist Danny Koo, captures the everyday sights, sounds and flavours of a Malaysian kopitiam in a catchy and relatable way. Since its release, the music video has recorded more than 260,000 views on YouTube.
Through this collaboration, Hock Kee continues to support Malaysian creativity and homegrown talent while celebrating kopitiam culture in a fresh and engaging format.
