It’s been an exciting past few weeks in search of the Face of Offspring for 2023. After competing in the weekly contest that had various different themes showcasing the different characters of babies such as Foodie Expert, Moment in Shades, Certified Crybaby and so on, the top 10 finalist were brought together to compete for one last time facing a panel of judges in St. Regis Kuala Lumpur.
- Datuk Noor Syafiroz bin Mohd Noor, Group Chief Operating Officer of Sedania Innovator Bhd
- Mr Darren Choy, Chairman of Offspring Inc.
- Ms Ngai Yuen, Chief Merchandising & Marketing Officer of AEON
- Ms Elaine Chew, Chief Executive Officer of Happikiddo
- Ms Teresa Chin, Chief Editor of Parenthood Magazine Malaysia
Each finalist went through a series of categories to showcase their personalities and boy were we impressed with the efforts that each and every parent showcased during the finale.
After putting together public votes and scores from the judges, Amayra Kaur was crowned the champion for Category 1 (3 months old – 12 months old).
Amayra went home with a whopping RM8,500 worth of cash and prizes, which includes Offspring products, Aeon Vouchers and Happikiddo Vouchers. Aside from gracing our magazine cover, Amayra will also be featured on Offspring’s packaging – how cool is that?!
We wanted to get to know our cover star a little more deeper, so we spoke to Amayra’s parents – Roshni Adnani and Ashwinder Singh who shared with us some interesting stories with us!

1. Can you tell us more about Amayra and what her personality is like?
Amayra has a very charming personality and can get the attention of anyone with her sweet smile.
2. What are some of the lessons that Amayra has taught you as parents?
She has taught us to be very patient while feeding her meals as she refuses to eat well and because of that I have tried different kinds of methods and ways which I learnt from social media, family/friends and also googled a lot of ways. (unfortunately she still doesn’t eat well!)
3. Tell us one of the most memorable story about Amayra and why this incident was most memorable to you.
She once went into our bedroom and closed the door behind her. We knew she was all alone inside and we wanted to know how long she would stay inside. After 2 minutes we were beginning to wonder what she was doing, without crying or hitting the door. So we opened the door slowly and cautiously only to see her sitting quietly in the corner of the room with a big smile on her face. Cannot imagine any other child doing the same at her age.
4. What are some of the most important values that you’d like to instil in Amayra?
Family relations are of utmost importance and I want to instil close family values in her as we are of mixed parental. She should have good mixed values in terms of culture and festivals.
5. What are your hopes and dreams for her?
She is still very young but I hope she will have a good personality and become a very loving and caring person.
6. What are some of your advice to new parents?
Expect stress. Becoming a parent is a major life transition. All transitions, no matter how eagerly anticipated, are accompanied by some degree of stress. And despite our best preparations, we may have to adjust our plans as we go along.
Believe in yourself. You DO know what’s best for your baby. Sort through the mountains of advice you’ll receive from friends, relatives, strangers, doctors, and parenting blogs. Try out new ideas that sound good to you. Toss the rest.
Forgive yourself. You’re going to make mistakes. We all do. Nobody has all the answers, and even the “experts” often disagree about “what’s best for baby.” Babies’ needs seem to change daily – once you feel you have something figured out, it changes. Allow yourself to continue getting to know your baby and your relationship with him/her daily. Talk to your partner about strategies that work and support each other as you figure things out together.
7. Why did you decide to participate in the Offspring Baby Search 2022?
As I was scrolling down my Instagram, I saw a post that offspring posted about “Offspring Baby Search 2022” since I got my son to participate in many baby products when he was a baby, I thought why not try out for my daughter now.
8. Why is Offspring your brand of choice?
Because it is certified safe and they only use real, natural ingredients. Everything is organic!
9. What is your favourite Offspring product and why?
It is so hard to choose my favourite because most of their products are good! But mostly, I would say their diapers as they are very fashionable and comfy for my Amayra baby.
Congratulations 1st Runner Up, Ayden Mikael & 2nd Runner Up, Pang Yi Tian!
“Is like a dream come true to have won 1st runner-up in the Offspring Baby Search this year. We did not expect to win because all parents are remarkable and creative. Is a quite fun, enjoyable, and unforgettable journey from the beginning until the end. Most of all, we all had some great fun and we couldn’t be happier.
