Families in Asia can soon set sail on a brand-new Disney cruise experience as the Disney Adventure officially arrives in Singapore, marking the first time a Disney Cruise Line ship will homeport in Asia.
The milestone was celebrated on 3 March 2026 as the ship sailed into the Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore with a ceremonial water salute and fireworks display, welcoming the newest addition to Disney Cruise Line’s fleet and signalling the start of a new chapter for family cruise holidays in the region.
A New Disney Cruise Experience for Families in Asia
The Disney Adventure will embark on its maiden voyage from Singapore on 10 March 2026, offering three- and four-night sailings designed for families and travellers of all ages.
Drawing on more than 100 years of storytelling from Disney, Pixar and Marvel, the ship promises a fully immersive holiday at sea, with themed entertainment, creative dining experiences and family-friendly accommodations.
Joe Schott, President of Disney Signature Experiences, said the arrival represents a major milestone for the brand.
“The arrival of the Disney Adventure in Singapore marks a significant milestone in our global expansion, introducing Disney cruising to Asia for the very first time,” he said. “Our newest ship brings together our signature storytelling and creativity in an exciting new destination.”
Seven Themed Areas and Unique Experiences Onboard
The ship will feature seven themed areas, each designed to entertain guests throughout multi-day voyages at sea.
Families can look forward to:
- All-new stage shows, including the musical spectacular Remember, created exclusively for the ship
- The family-friendly show Duffy and the Friend Ship featuring original songs
- Marvel-inspired attractions, including Ironcycle Test Run, the longest rollercoaster at sea
- Nearly 17,000 square feet of retail space, including the World of Disney store, National Geographic Store and a Duffy and Friends shop
Food will also be a highlight, with dining options ranging from Disney’s signature international buffet to regional Asian favourites – even bubble tea – designed to appeal to travellers in the region.

Why Singapore Was Chosen
Singapore’s strategic location and strong travel connectivity made it an ideal homeport for the ship. The city currently has direct air links to more than 160 cities worldwide and recorded more than two million cruise passengers from 375 ship calls in 2025.
The Disney Adventure will operate from the Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore under a five-year homeporting commitment, which is expected to boost cruise tourism and attract international travellers to the region.
Melissa Ow, Chief Executive of the Singapore Tourism Board, said the partnership strengthens Singapore’s position as a leading cruise hub.
“Disney Cruise Line’s decision to homeport their newest ship in Singapore is a testament to our appeal as a premier cruise destination,” she said.
Part of Disney’s Rapid Cruise Expansion
The launch of the Disney Adventure is part of a broader expansion for Disney Cruise Line, which plans to grow its fleet to 13 ships by 2031.
For families across Asia, including those in Malaysia, the ship’s arrival means Disney cruise holidays will soon be much closer to home, offering a convenient way to experience Disney storytelling, entertainment and family bonding moments at sea.
