Not everyone can afford to treat their mothers to a special meal on Mother’s Day.
To mark this year’s Mother’s Day, Maria’s SteakCafe, in collaboration with local NGO Dignity for Children Foundation (Dignity), gave some 19 mothers a rare treat with their offer of free lunches to the mothers and their children.
Nineteen (19) mothers and 21 children from Dignity’s school enjoyed a wholesome and memorable 3-course lunch on the house, a rare treat indeed.
“We just wanted to do something special for these mothers as many went through a particularly tough time because of the pandemic. It is our way of giving back and telling them that they are remembered and appreciated,” said Chong Ai Lee, Business Director of Maria’s SteakCafe.
Besides the Mother’s Day special treat, Maria SteakCafe also contributes monthly to Food & Beverage skills training at eat X, the NGO’s transformational enterprise.
