We at Parenthood know this all too well, and that’s exactly where our much-awaited Antenatal BootCamp (ABC) comes in. At the most recent ABC held at Sunway Medical Centre, expectant parents were treated to a full-day experience filled with expert insights, hands-on learning, and supportive guidance, all designed to equip parents-to-be with confidence and clarity as they prepare to welcome their bundle of joy.
Aptly held over the Mother’s Day weekend, this Antenatal Boot Camp (ABC) celebrated and supported mommies and daddies-to-be with a full day of educational and empowering sessions. Designed to equip expectant parents with essential knowledge and confidence, the boot camp featured expert-led talks on crucial topics such as first aid for new parents, breastfeeding techniques, neonatal jaundice, and stem cell banking. Each session provided practical insights and hands-on tips tailored to address the real concerns of first-time parents figuring out their journey into parenthood.
The boot camp also covered a wide range of essential topics, including a detailed walkthrough of what to expect in the labour room, practical tips for baby bathing and swaddling, and insights into common skin issues during pregnancy and babyhood. Participants gained valuable knowledge on the safe use of essential oils during pregnancy and the importance of proper nutrition from conception through early parenthood.
For this special edition of ABC and in the spirit of celebrating Mother’s Day, participants also had the chance to take part in a fun social media contest. The contest brought out funny, touching stories, and beautiful expressions of anticipation and love. At the end of the day, one lucky couple, Nadiah Mokhtar and Muhammad Az- Zaim walked away with an incredible prize, a MOVON Baby Stroller (FoldMate) worth RM2,000, making the celebration even more memorable.
Adding to the fun and informative atmosphere outside the main hall were our vendors, who set up engaging booths to connect with the parents-to-be. Prudential, CryoCord, and Earth & Me, our regular partners, were joined by Young Living and Granny Ben. The booths offered something for everyone, with some even incorporating fun, hands-on activities that added excitement to the day.
