Looking for a fun family outing during the school holidays? The GSC x AIA Vitality PlayFest is returning from 24 to 26 July 2026 at the East Concourse, IOI City Mall 2, Putrajaya, with three days of activities, workshops, movie-themed experiences and plenty of opportunities for families to play together.

 

Part of the GSC Ultimate Family Adventure, or GUFA, the free-entry festival is designed to encourage families to step away from their screens, spend quality time together and explore new experiences through play.

 

This year’s theme, “Play at Every Turn”, brings the festival to life through a creative concept called “Four Worlds, Endless Play”.

 

Explore Four Different Worlds

Upon registration, families will receive a Mission Card featuring the event map, activity schedule and a stamp collection section.

 

Children and parents can explore the four themed worlds, complete activities and collect eight stamps along the way. Families who complete the mission can redeem exclusive gifts and stand a chance to take part in a lucky draw.

 

Here is what you can expect:

 

Movie World

Movie fans can step into interactive experiences inspired by upcoming and well-loved films and characters.

Participating studios and partners include Monsta Studios, United International Pictures Malaysia, Sony Pictures Malaysia, Walt Disney Studios Malaysia and Warner Bros. Malaysia.

Families can look forward to experiences linked to titles and characters such as:

• BoBoiBoy Movie 3
• Minions
• PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie
• Spider-Man: Brand New Day
• Moana
• The Cat in the Hat

There will also be a photobooth, Funko displays and other movie-themed surprises for children and parents to discover.

 

Main World

For children who prefer to move, build and explore, Main World will feature hands-on activities and larger-than-life play elements.

The activities are designed to encourage movement, creativity, curiosity and family participation, making it a suitable stop for active children who enjoy learning through play.

 

Makan World

Families can take a break and refuel with a selection of familiar favourites.

Food and drink options include Ajinomoto prawn and chicken gyozas, pizzas and beverages from Pizza Hut and Coca-Cola Malaysia, GSC caramel popcorn and frozen nuggets that families can bring home.

 

Market World

Parents can also explore family-friendly products, services and interactive experiences from participating brands.

Market World will feature AIA Vitality, Eucerin, Hansaplast, Farm Fresh and Keepsake by GSC, offering families another space to browse, learn and take part in activities together.

 

 

A Family Experience Beyond the Cinema

The GSC Ultimate Family Adventure is an initiative under GSC Play, created to extend the family entertainment experience beyond watching a movie.

 

Through workshops, performances, interactive booths and shared activities, the event gives parents and children a dedicated space to connect and create new memories together.

 

“Families today are looking for experiences that allow them to engage with one another beyond the screen, and GSC PlayFest is our way of bringing that vision to life by creating meaningful, shared moments through play,” said Golden Screen Cinemas Chief Executive Officer Ms Koh Mei Lee.

 

The event also marks the fifth year of the GSC x AIA Vitality PlayFest, with AIA Vitality returning as the main partner. Other event partners include Ajinomoto, Coca-Cola Malaysia, Farm Fresh Malaysia, Eucerin, Hansaplast and Club IOI, with booth gifts sponsored by Jasmine.
